Elephants, Baskets, and Candlesticks

Thrifting with a four year old is quite an experience! Mostly it’s keeping him off the floors and the furniture. Yuck!! It is worth the headache though and we are getting better at it. The thing is if you really want to find the good stuff you have to go often. It will really increase your chances of finding something special or getting a really good deal.

Thrifting Fun

This was my last haul. It was a good one! I got all of this and some baskets for under $20. If you are ever in need of baskets head to your local thrift store!

I think my favorite might be this little guy! I love him just like he is but I’m having this serious urge to pull out the paint and have some fun. What do you think?

Candlesticks, because you can never have too many candlesticks!!

And I have decided that I am going to keep them just like they are. The perfect distressed finish au natural!

I have already been having a little fun with the chalk paint. The little planter got a facelift and now lives outside on our table. The perfect little pumpkin holder!

And while I was at it I grabbed these two old candlesticks I had lying around

and slapped a little paint on them too!

So what do you think? Should I paint the elephant? I’m also curious about the new Facebook marketplace. It’s kind of like Craigslist but on Facebook. Do you think it’s safe? Would you use it?

Till Next Time,
