This was definitely a labor of love. When I first skimmed through Le Tote’s clothing database I was not inspired. Honestly? I’m still having to weed through a lot of clothes that are less than desirable to me. But look at the cute clothes I have gotten!!
Le Tote is like Netflix but for clothes and accessories. You get to wear the clothes (3 clothing items and 2 accessories), send them back, and get some new ones. You can do this as many times as you want each month. It takes about 3-4 days to get a new Tote once you send one back. This is perfect when you have an event.

I ordered my first Tote because I knew I had a special luncheon coming up. Every year I am flummoxed with the idea of picking out an outfit for this event. The luncheon kicks off the year for the Falcon’s Womens Association. It’s interesting and awkward all at the same time. 🙂 A ballroom full of players, coaches and associates wives. The majority of the time I feel completely out of place, but they talk about the volunteer work we will be doing throughout the season, which I love. And I won’t lie, it’s also a chance to get dressed up and go to a fancy lunch with fancy people. This outfit was perfect for the “dressy casual” dress code that was listed on the invitation! (The shoes are mine)
After that event I sent off for my next Tote! I mailed the old one back on Saturday using the prepaid labeled package and got my new Tote on Thursday! I freaking love this hooded sweatshirt! I’m seriously considering buying it! That’s the other thing, if you really love something you can buy it. I have mixed emotions about this because it seems a little expensive for clothing that has been worn. I’m not above used clothing, I have shopped at thrift stores so that’s no biggie. But this sweater is $62. Ehh, we will see. It is in great shape though! They do have the option of resending the item. I think I’m going to do that. It may come back in the next Tote or it may be in two or three. Either way I will probably see it again in the next month or so.
The only negative thing I have to say other than the less than stellar selection is the smell of the clothes. When they arrive the dry cleaning chemical smell is pretty strong. I have had to throw the items in the dryer on light or no heat to air them out. It was making me cough. But after a day or two out of the bag I don’t even notice it. This was a really flattering dolman sleeve top!
I think the clothing selection issue may have more to do with the models and the photography than with the clothes. They look a little old and I don’t like wearing items that might make me look old! It is a rare thing when I like the clothes better on me than on the model in the photo but I have seen that happening here.
