One year ago I watched, through text messages, my sister run the Princess 5k and I was so jealous!! I vowed then that I was going to join her the following year. Now keep in mind that I have never run, ever. I started smoking when I was 15 and quit the day that I found out I was pregnant with Noah. But having been smoke free for 4 years I knew I could do it! I started training immediately. Last Thanksgiving I ran in the Turkey Trot back home and completed my first 5k! This was really important because I can’t run the Princess 5k, it’s on Friday morning. So I had to sign up for a 10k! And I knew that couldn’t be my first race!
Now fast forward and the Princess 10k is next weekend!! Training has been an uphill battle. Pun intended. First off these hills in Atlanta are killing me!! And my legs!! Luckily the lovely people at Zensah sent me these compression sleeves and they have been helping a lot!!
They also appealed to my crafty nature when they asked me to take them from #WhitetoBright! I grabbed my fabric markers and went to town!!
Make sure to put a piece of cardboard inside to stretch them and keep the ink from bleeding through!
Also make sure you buy two markers per sleeve. If you are going to be coloring a large portion of the sleeve you want to make sure you don’t have to go searching for the same color marker to finish. Trust me.
I’m not going to giveaway what my costume is going to be yet, but stay tuned next week. I’m going to do a big reveal and announcing which lucky reader will get a pair of Zensah compression sleeves!! Use the raffle copter form below to enter!!
This was so much fun! I can’t wait to pull the entire costume together and share with everyone!
There were so many more options for decorating these! I even thought about using iron on transfer paper and putting some Disney character on them! How cute would that have been!?
The giveaway will be live until next Friday at midnight! I have to be up at 4:00 for the race so I will post the winner super early!! Probably as I sit in my corral waiting for the race to start. 🙂 Good luck!!
