Turning Back The Clock With Restylane Lyft and Restylane Silk

This whole aging thing is for the birds! Mix that with all these amazing cameras we have that take SUPER clear pictures and I have had about enough of it.

Once I hit my early to mid thirties I began to notice that my makeup wasn’t going on quite and smooth as it used to and then I noticed these dots all over my cheeks and nose. Turns out? Pores. I could see my pores VERY clearly. I was not amused. I quickly realized that my routine of washing my face with water and using random moisturizer was not going to cut it anymore. I bought a grown up facial cleanser and scrub and tried to start using it and a good moisturizer regularly. The results were great! My pores tightened and my makeup started looking better.

Once I was no longer distracted by the large holes in my face I started to notice that what used to be a wonderful smile was starting to leave it’s mark. My smile lines were starting to stick around long after I quit smiling. Once again? Not amused. It’s mild right now, but the fact that I’m only 35 and it’s already starting is not a good sign. My sister is 3 years older and we were comparing lines 😉 and she has none!

The good news is that we don’t have to live with these lines! Restylane® Lyft is the first and only filler approved by the FDA to correct moderate to severe smile lines and for cheek augmentation. I was invited to an event recently unveiling this and another Restylane® product.

The event was held at offices of Dr. Anna Pare in Buckhead. They have recently redesigned and it is GORGEOUS! I felt like I was at a spa! We sipped our peach bellinis and nibbled on hors’ deurves while listening to Dr. Pare discuss her experience with Restylane and her method of application. I was especially happy when she explained that it is never her intent to change the character or shape of a face. We all have unique facial structures and proportions. She uses Restylane to compliment and restore certain features. I have stressed before that I have no desire to change my features or stop the clock completely, I just want to sloowwww it down. 🙂

We were also able to watch her perform two procedures and see the before and after effects. It was pretty amazing the slight but noticeable difference that occurred! Dr. Pare is a magician! They repeatedly stressed how important is that you receive treatments from a licensed practitioner.

We also learned about Restylane® Silk. It is the first FDA-approved product specifically designed for both lip augmentation and smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth in patients 21 years of age and older. These wrinkles are what will eventually cause your lipstick to bleed into your skin.
