Next Wednesday, November6th, at 1pm EST Electrolux will be holding a live event over at Food52.com. They are having a cook top challenge where they will demonstrate the differences between Induction, Gas, and Electric cook tops. Electrolux and Food52 will pit three influential chefs against each other in a live cook-off challenge hosted by Food52’s website founders. This cook-off will be live on Food52’s website for 30 minutes where viewers can join the chat that lives next to the streaming video. Just log in via Twitter or Facebook to participate!
As we recently moved I am experiencing a gas cook top for the first time. While there are many things I like about cooking with gas there are also things I miss about an electric cook top. From what I have researched an induction cook top combines the positives of both the electric and gas cook tops! For instance with our previous electric range it had a smooth glass surface which made cleaning so much easier than our current gas cook top. However, our gas cook top allows us to better control the temperature when cooking and water boils so much faster!! The induction cook top has a smooth glass surface AND can boil water in 90 seconds!! It also boasts a “Keep Warm” featuring allowing you to indefinitely hold food at the perfect serving temperature. This I have to see!
