Recently I was able to attend a wonderful #Graco15ForMe event hosted by Graco and Krystyn from Really Are You Serious. We were each given a Graco Little Lounger™ Rocker to review! The event was wonderful. As usual Graco went the extra mile and brought a yoga instructor, Meryl of Sacred Thread Yoga, to teach us a few quick stretches we could do while baby was resting.
A Lounger Is Your Best Friend
Before Noah was born I was given a rocker by one of my cousins who said it was the most helpful gift she received and now I completely understand why! These things are awesome!!! Noah lived in that rocker for the first 3 months! We had a one story home that was basically all carpet. He would sleep in the rocker next to the bed and then when I woke up I would just drag it out to the living room or into the kitchen while I cooked and cleaned. He slept in it and played in it. We used it all. the. time.
Of course I was thrilled when I was invited by Graco to review their new rocker the Little Lounger™. It is awesome! It has plush fabric that easily removes for cleaning because you know, kids are messy! And there are so many ways that this lounger is way better than my old one. First, it has rock locks! These little plastic pieces flip down and keep it from rocking. This is great in case you happen to have an over zealous toddler! This could have come in real handy when Bryce was born. I never should have taught Noah “Rock a Bye Baby.”
My second favorite feature is the multi-position recline. The inclined position is great if your baby has a reflux problem, but some babies like to lay flat. With many positions to choose from you can definitely find one your baby is happy with. It also has two speed vibration to help soothe your baby. I had to take the attachment off our bouncy seat and stick it in the back of my old rocker, not so with this one! It also sports a mobile with cute little fuzzy stars for when baby wants to play. There is a three point harness to keep baby safe, but remember the lounger should only be used until baby can start sitting up. Another great feature is that it folds up flat and can be left standing. It is very compact and you can take it anywhere!
15 For You!
The best part about the lounger is that it can soothe your baby and allow you with time for yourself! In the beginning it is all about baby, but you can’t forget yourself. My Aunt explained to me early on, “If Mama ain’t happy, nobodies happy.” So you owe it to yourself and your family to look out for you. Here are a few things you can do while baby sleeps safely in the Little Lounger™ right next to you:
- Take a bath
- Sleep! I mastered the ability to drop a hand or foot over the edge of the bed to rock the cradle in the middle of the night if either boy was fussy.
- Eat, hands free! It’s like a bluetooth for baby!
- Yoga! This is awesome for those sore muscles from holding a newborn. You know the ones that burn right in between your shoulder blades while you nurse?
- Exercise. You know, if that’s your thing. Some people find that relaxing and enjoyable, I however do not.
