Knitty Knitterson

Wow! I can’t believe  it’s been 10 days since my last post. I honestly am just posting this so that I don’t have to look at the baby hanging over the toilet everytime I work on my blog. LOL. Nothing new to really report. Noah is doing great, he’s just doing flips and kicking me pretty regularly now.

I have been very busy being crafty though! I just finished the cutest little hat for him. I will take a picture tonight and add it to this post. I am busy working on a sweater to match the hat too. I hope this turns out better than my last sweater, it started out as a way to practice making a sweater and to use up some of all of the pink yarn I have since we are having a boy. Well once I started I realized that my stitches were looking pretty good so I decided to make it for our friends new little girl Isabelle. As I continued I realized that I must have used the wrong size crochet hook, cause it was turning out to be much bigger than I had planned, so I thought, no worries, my niece Ava (who’s 3 1/2) can wear it. I wasn’t really sure how well the sleeves were going to work, so I just left it as a vest. Well I got to see my family this weekend and it turns out it fits my 10 year old cousin, Hannah!! Oops! Also, the shape is really funky, so we will just chalk that up to a learning exercise. Obviously I will not be posting a picture. 🙂 Oh well, now I know to double check my gauge and use a different type of yarn next time.

Now I am working on a poncho for Hannah, finishing a baby blanket to donate to the refugee resettlement program at work, and the matching baby sweater for Noah. I like having multiple projects going at once, this way if I get tired of working on one I can switch to another for a few days.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
