My Newest Obsession / Forgotten Hobby

Like most creative, crafty types I love to learn new ways to make stuff. You name it and I’ve probably tried it – and not very successfully. You know that phrase, Jack of all trades, master of none? Yep, that would be me! That of course means I have lots of half finished, half crappy projects in my new awesome, albeit messy, craft room. Not to mention a whole slew of crafting supplies. One day I might try to calculate how much I’ve spent on my crafting obsession. To save Eric from having a coronary, that day will NOT be today.

Instead I will tell you about my latest crafty obsession…….Scrapbooking!

Yep, I’m going to give it another go. I have attempted to do this in the past, but never really ended up with much to show for it. I made a scrapbook of my summer abroad in England, but it’s not very artistic and I’m not even sure I finished it.

Pretty much ever since Noah was born I have been toying with the idea of starting a scrapbook for him, but never really got serious about it until now.

With Bryce’s birth drawing near, and the celebration of another milestone for Noah, his first hair cut, I have finally been bitten by the Scrapbooking bug.

Luckily I have quite a bit of supplies already from brief forays into the Scrapbooking/paper crafting world, but of course I want to do this right and that’s going to require thoughtful planning and a few trips to Michaels/Joanns/Hobby Lobby. Luckily this great beginners guide to scrapbooking and scrapbooking essential tools list should make the planning easier and save some serious $$.

I can’t wait to share my journey and scrapbook pages with y’all! Stay tuned and lets see how this all turns out!
