New Experiences for Falcons Game Day Fun – #RiseUp

I wouldn’t be doing my wifely duty, my husband works for the Falcons, if I didn’t share some of the awesomeness that they are doing this season! Noah and I had a blast at the game on Sunday while Eric was busy working. Noah once again sat and watched the ENTIRE game. He has literally been able to sit through an entire game since he was 20 months old! Like sit still and actually pay attention. It’s insane. This year he has even added binoculars! He will use them to watch the plays. Hysterical – I tell you.

If you didn’t catch it, the Falcons were featured on Hard Knocks on HBO this year. They showed all the behind the scenes at training camp and the preseason games. It was pretty awesome. Oh and if you don’t have HBO you can “borrow” a friends HBO using their app. But, you didn’t hear that from me 😉

So here are some of the new enhancements that the Falcons have added to their game-day presentation at the Dome.

  • The Falcons are starting a new tradition with the first-ever “Falcons March” from Centennial Olympic Park to State Farm Falcons Landing. It’s a parade and pep rally all in one and will take place before every home game of the 2014 season. Fans, along with the Falcons Drumline, Hype Crew, Cheerleaders, Flag Team and Freddie Falcon will meet at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce pre-game and march down Marietta Street onto International Boulevard, ending at State Farm Falcons Landing and into the Dome.

We missed the parade on Sunday but are going to try to catch it before the next home game.

  • Once inside the Dome, a social media video board will display Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts allowing fans to “cover” the game live. Noah’s picture made it on the jumbotron last year as they were already posting Instagram photos. Just check the screen at each game and there will be a game specific hashtag.

  • During the game, two new crowd surf flags will rise in between the first and second quarters, in the lower level, and fans will be able to hear their favorite player’s personal “theme song” after a great play on the field.  A familiar face and voice returns to the Dome this season when Samuel L. Jackson is featured as part of the “Rise Up” campaign.

  • The Falcons are also continuing the Falcons Memories program allowing season ticket holders the chance to participate in unique, personalized experiences throughout the game. Popular fan Memories last season included watching player introductions from the tunnel, holding the Falcons flag during player introductions and being featured on the video board. This season, several exciting new elements have been added including the chance to kick a field goal after the game, attend the post-game press conference and skip the line for concessions.  Falcons Memories is delivered to season ticket holders exclusively through the Falcons game day app.

Last Sundays game was AH-MAZE-ING!!!  Can’t wait to watch the Falcons play on Sunday in Cincinnati!!
