I love Valentines cards that don’t have food or candy! With all the food allergies these days it is so much easier to stay away from it completely! Last year I made these adorable heart shaped crayon valentines. You can find the printable tags here!
This year I totally waited until the last minute and did not want to venture down the valentine’s day aisles with the boys in tow. I had planned to pick something up last weekend without them and I completely forgot! Luckily I saw these adorable dinosaur valentines day cards on Pinterest! We have tons of them scattered around the house.
As I searched through the playroom I also ran across these adorable little sea creature figures and some zoo animals from Bryce’s 1st birthday party. I headed back to Pinterest and found even more adorable ideas that I could make at home just with what I had laying around!
I decided to use the sea creatures and, of course, to pull my own little card together. I’m here to share it with you!! If you are looking for a cute last minute card, print this out and grab some little ocean figurines. I bought these on clearance from Lakeshore Learning ages ago, but Michaels and Joanns has a full aisle of things like these!
And if you can’t find the sea creatures and don’t mind using food, you can print these cards out and just grab some little baggies with a couple of gold fish!
Remember to use card stock so that the cards can hold the figures well. And I have gotten a few comments on my paper cutter. It’s awesome and cheap!! I bought mine from Michaels a few years ago, I don’t think they make the exact same one anymore, but the link will take you to the exact same type of trimmer, it just says Cricut instead and it’s different colors. I only use it a handful of times a year, but it’s really small and tucks away easily until I need it again. Love it!! It also comes with an additional blade that can score paper for easy folding!!
