The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever? And Other Yummy Treats #MWBakeSale

Recently I was asked to participate in a blogger bake sale as part of Share Our Strength’s nation-wide bake sales benefiting No Kid Hungry. As a result this week I have been a baking fool! And Noah and I are going to be spending the morning at the bake sale selling some goodies. I have decided to take this opportunity to try out some of those wonderful ooey gooey recipes I am always seeing on Pinterest. I even created a board awhile back to house them all. I named it Help Me Gain Weight as a deterrent to keep me from opening it. LOL

I have chosen three blogger recipes that I am sharing below to try out for the bake sale. I can personally attest that each of them is fabulous!! And if you are local you should come out and see for yourself on Saturday.

Here are some of the yummy desserts I will be bringing!

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

I love some good trash talking and competing between friends and that is how I found the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever from Savory Sweet Life. In addition to the trash talking 🙂 Alice also provides lots of troubleshooting tips! It is totally awesome and you should definitely check it out! Or better yet come on down and buy some to support an awesome cause!

Rice Krispy Treats

I found these adorable treats from Korean American Mommy and knew I had to make them. Well I couldn’t find my cake pop sticks and I had semi sweet chocolate not milk chocolate so I decided to forgo that altogether. However, I did notice that her recipe called for more butter than most, and hey we all know you can’t really go wrong with more butter so that’s what I used. And ya’ll, I was so right it is an awesome recipe! You should definitely try it out and I can only imagine that dipping them in chocolate would make them heavenly! I find my cake pop bags so I just grabbed some cute ribbon and tied them up individual baggies.

**Super Tip**

I lined a cookie pan with parchment paper and spread the rice krispy mix with a big spoon. Then I took an extra piece of parchment paper and placed it on top and rolled the entire thing with a rolling pin until it was smooth. This made it perfectly flat and the heart and flower shaped cookie cutters were super easy to use.

And last but certainly not least!

Marshmallow Brownies

You may be have noticed that two out of the three recipes have marshmallows. I am slightly obsessed with marshmallows. When I was pregnant with Bryce I was known to sit on the couch with a bag of marshmallows, a jar of Nutella and a spoon. Wow, I’m am so drooling right now as I type that. Apparently it wasn’t just the pregnancy hormones, I guess I just needed an excuse!

This recipe is definitely drool worthy too. I think any brownie recipe that requires melted chocolate instead of cocoa powder is awesome! Throw in marshmallows and I am sold!

All three of these are totally worth trying out!! And I hope that you local folks are able to make it to the bake sale to support No Kid Hungry. Having worked for a food bank in the past childhood hunger is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
