The Way I View “Motherhood”

How do I view motherhood?….That is an interesting question to ask a mother. I think that it is a very subjective question. It is subject to what is going on in that particular moment in time. Kids are ever changing little creatures. One minute they are angels – the next they are little devils. They can make your heart swell with such emotion it can take your breath away and then in a split second make you want to pull your hair out. So, I am supposed to tell you how I view motherhood? Well at this moment in time (meaning this past week) this is how I view motherhood.
Yes, that is bleach, and Yes, that is the bathtub. You figure it out.

While all of this may represent how I have recently viewed motherhood, and it will take some time for the memories of this past week to fade, this does only represent a small portion. The rest is made up of moments like these.

My Angel, 99% of the time

When my baby wakes up in the middle of the night with a fever and crying and then it turns out to be hand, foot, mouth disease which leads to a week of utter HELL – this is what I need to remember. This sweet angelic little face. This is how I want to always view motherhood.
