All Knees and Elbows!

Ok, I knew that pregnancy was going to be uncomfortable and I knew that I would get towards the end and I would just want him out more than anything in the world. I’m not delusional and I practically read every single book there is to read on pregnancy. What I did not realize that HE (yes, I’m talking about Noah) would be the direct cause of some of this pain!!

I figured my back would hurt (check) because my hips are spreading and carrying all the extra weight etc. etc. Or that the hormones would keep me from sleeping at night (check) and I would have to get up to pee at least 3 times a night (check). What I wasn’t prepared for are his bony little feet, knees, hands, and elbows!! Good Lord! I think he’s literally excersising in there. I also wish I could make him understand that he just doesn’t have the same amount of room in there that he did 3 weeks ago. Everytime he stretches, kicks, punches, and rolls I get a hand or foot in my rib/hip or a knee or elbow literally in my side. Ouch!! The doctor telling me to “watch my sugar intake” wasn’t enough to keep me away from chocolate, but Noah’s reactions to it and the bruising of my insides sure will!!!!

Oh! And nobody ever mentioned the possibility of bursitis!! I have it in BOTH of my hips. So that means that I get these excrutiating cramps in my hip joints at night if I sleep on one side for too long. So that means I have to wake up about once an hour or so and roll over, which isn’t an easy task!

Ok, that’s my vent for today. This has been a long time coming for the past few weeks……. I’m sure by Thanksgiving I will be even more miserable. God help me if he’s still in there by his due date, December 15th…….

Stay tuned…..
