As I have mentioned before I got my new camera for Christmas. I have been having so much fun with it. I’m pretty sure I’ve taken about 1,000 pictures already, no joke. I also took some of the my Christmas money and used it to buy a tripod and a member to Clickin Moms. Let me tell you, that was money well spent!!
Clickin Moms is great. I have learned more in the past week than I could have learned in months. It is an online forum with a community of women photographers. There are newbies like me all the way up to professionals. Most importantly there are tons of tutorials that help me learn how to use the manual mode on my camera. This is really just a brief overview, there really is so much more to it.
Another pretty cool aspect is that they hold challenges and projects to help you grow your skills. I have decided to participate in a Project 52 and a “How I View…” Monthly Challenge. The CM Project 52 gives me a theme each week for an entire year as inspiration. Each week I will post one photo following that theme on the board as well as here on my blog.
The monthly challenge is a little different, it’s called a link up. The challenge has been broken up into groups of photographers. I am in Fabulous Group 6! Each month we will all post our “How I View….” photos and then link to the next persons blog in our group. So, when you view my photo, you can then click on the link to the next photographers site and the next etc, to form a circle. This way you can see the many different ways we all interpret each months theme.
Project 52 – Week 1
This weeks theme for the Project 52 was breakfast. I tried all week to get a good photo of Noah eating breakfast. I’m still not really happy how it turned out, but here it is anyways. Hopefully next weeks will be better.
