I had so much fun creating this easter basket for dogs. I hope you have just as much fun creating a little basket for your puppy too!

Next month will be 6 months since we adopted Chase! I can’t believe it’s already been six months, yet he’s such a big part of our family now I’m a little surprised we haven’t had him longer. He has quickly become one of the boys! LOL
He really seems to think that he is one of the boys. He sleeps at the foot of their beds, alternating each night between Noah and Bryce’s beds and he even thinks that one of the extra chairs at the table belongs to him!
Not so, poor Chase, no dogs allowed at the table. 🙂 Your punishment is super hugs from Bryce. The struggle is real, ya’ll!
As we get closer to Easter it just wouldn’t feel right making Easter baskets for the boys and not making one for Chase too. When I joined up with Nature’s Recipe® to share their new relationship with Kroger I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to pull together a Easter Basket for Dogs featuring some of their yummy dog food for Chase. I also have pulled together a quick DIY dog toy you can make for your pup too!
This easter basket was so easy. I was out of food for Chase so I ran to Kroger and grabbed a bag of Nature’s Recipe grain free dog food for small breeds.
I love that their dog food is artificial free, it’s a choice I make for my family so it makes sense that I would want the same for Chase. As it turns out Nature’s Recipe has been around for 35 years but they are brand new to Kroger. I also grabbed some of their wet food “toppers.” We don’t usually give Chase wet food but I figured this would be a nice nutritious Easter treat. 🙂
Once I got home all I needed was scissors and a t-shirt. I also grabbed some ribbon to help demonstrate the tutorial easily. It really helps to have 2 different colors to help keep the strands straight. In fact, I would suggest practicing with two different colors first if you can.
The ribbon was adorable and Chase loved it but it could be small for most dogs. It would make a perfect cat toy though! The t-shirt toy was perfect and he can even tug on one end while I hold the other.
He was quite the fan 🙂
Here’s a quick video demonstrating how to tie the t-shirt strands. Definitely hold the knot in between your knees. It makes it SO much easier!
Do you make Easter baskets for your dogs? I can’t wait for the boys to hide treats in the Easter Eggs for Chase. They are going to have so much fun together. Don’t forget to check out Nature’s Recipe and follow them on Facebook and Instagram!
